SUMMARY:History of Grist Mill & Clem Clark's Boathouse Lecture
DESCRIPTION:History of Grist Mill & Clem Clark’s Boathouse Lecture\nJune 3rd at 5:30pm\nLocated at KCT Boathouse\n8 Mill Lane in KPT\n\nJoin us on Wednesday\, June 3\, at 5:30p.m. at Clem Clark Boathouse for an exciting presentation by Kennebunkport Historical Society’s historian\, Sharon Cummins about the history of Clem Clark Boathouse and the Grist Mill!\n\n\n\nIn 2006\, KCT acquired the Grist Mill Property on Mill Lane. This historic property includes public access to the beautiful Mast Cove\, the site of the Perkins Grist Mill\, and the Clement Clark Boathouse. Set within walking distance to the lower village\, it is a unique setting we encourage everyone to visit.\n\n\n\nThe Mill was built in 1749 and operated until 1939. In 1973 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and sadly\, was destroyed by an arsonist in 1994.\n\nSharon will take you through the history of both the Grist Mill and Clem Clark Boathouse while in the remaining space. Enjoy light refreshments while learning why the property has been featured in photographs and paintings for decades.\n\n\n\nPlease Park at the Kennebunkport Fire Station Log\, located at 30 North Street and walk to the Clem Clark Boathouse at 8 Mill Lane.
