Phyllis Wentworth was raised in Kennebunkport. She has deep roots in the Kennebunks, where her father’s side of the family was part of the hotel industry, and her mother’s side summered in the historic Casey House. A former associate professor of humanities and social sciences, Phyllis is now director of education at The Landing School of Boatbuilding and Design. She and her husband Tom Putnam live in Cape Porpoise and have two adult children. Her memories of the Historical Society trace back to her childhood — and how thrilling it was to walk into the Town House School and find a blue ribbon next to her flower show entry.
