Emma Stevens has been an integral part of the Kennebunkport Historical Society since she was a young volunteer of 14 years old. Over the years, her involvement and responsibilities have grown, and she has proven to be a tremendous asset to the Society in multiple ways.
Her connection with local history is personal, as her ancestors on both sides of her family have been a part of the Kennebunks for several generations.
Emma is a 2017 graduate of Kennebunk High School. In 2019, she earned an Associates in Arts degree in Dance from Dean College. In 2020, she added an Associates in Applied Science of Business from York County Community College, and in 2021, Emma earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from SNHU.
Outside of the Historical Society, you will find Emma Stevens teaching dance classes at the Sharon Arnold Lux School of Dance in Arundel. A student there since she was six years old, Emma is now teaching several classes at the school. Her students are all ages, levels, and experience. She led her high school dance troupe to National competitions, where her imagination and choreography earned her team high honors. She also lends her choreography talents to the RSU21 middle school theater department for the annual student musical as well as to the Nasson Community Theater in Sanford.
Emma works year-round for the Kennebunkport Historical Society.
