Ann Nevius grew up in Connecticut in a 1750 farmhouse, where she gained a lifelong appreciation for historic architecture, antiques, and preservation.  She also became an avid equestrian.  She went to Skidmore College, where she majored in Economics.  After college, Ann worked in College Textbook Publishing at Harper & Row and McGraw-Hill, in CT, VA, and NYC.  After nine years in publishing, Ann decided to move to the Boston area and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.  Ann then spent 25 years in management consulting, where she led the healthcare practice at a strategy management firm, working with clients in the U.S. and abroad.  During this time, she and her husband Tom designed and built a historic reproduction home in Carlisle, MA.

Upon retiring from her full-time career at the end of 2016, Ann decided to focus on her historic preservation passion, working for Historic New England and then Trustees, where she was involved with the historic Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA.  In late 2018, she and Tom decided to move to Kennebunkport and build another historic reproduction, this time a saltbox.  Ann began her volunteer work at Kennebunkport Historical Society this past spring, and has never looked back.
