GIRLS NIGHT OUT: MOSSARIUMS
With Ann Thompson
May 19th at 7pm
Located at the Town House School (135 North Street in KPT)
History tells us that women often got together to share in their everyday duties such as mending/quilting & washing. When the washing machine was invented, it saved women hours of work, but society noticed one thing: depression rates grew and nobody knew why. One conclusion was that it wasn’t the work of doing the laundry that the women missed, it was the camaraderie of being among other women.
These past two years left many of us isolated once again. Friends limited their social visits and many people remained in their homes.
To honor history by gathering community women to share historic crafts & hobbies, but also stories, the Kennebunkport Historical Society introduces, “Girl’s Night Out”.
Sign up with your friends or come out and meet community women!
